There are some days that seem more memorable than most. Today was one of those days. It began with an arranged meeting with two of my tea enthusiast friends for a tea jaunt on the upper east side.
Our first stop was at LADURÉE on Madison Ave.
When I approached the wonderfully quaint building I was surprised to see a line of people outside awaiting the 9:00 am store opening. I found that this was not an anomaly but a normal occurrence especially at this time of year.
The patrons stood patiently as the young women packed each order fine and special care insuring each macaron was placed in a multi-colored alternating assortment which added to the presentation when the box is opened.
After my small purchase I thought about coming home and how I would set aside some time to enjoy my decadent treat.
I chose the book, set my table and tell me What Am I Drinking?
